Obviously we all know that short hair is a big trend with Women’s Hair right now. But BEFORE you chop it, here’s what you need to know. I am about to set the record straight on short hair.

Shorter Doesn’t Mean Easier

Just because you have less in length, doesn’t mean you will take less time to do your hair. Short hair is harder to style, TRUST ME. It isn’t as easy as it looks. It is actually harder and takes more time to make your hair seem “effortless”. Especially if you have curls or waves, they will tend to get looser with weight. Long hair weighs down the curls and waves to be more relaxed, but short hair is going to make your hair texture tighter.

Your Tools Will Need to Change

So that inch and a half barrel probably won’t work for your short hair anymore. You will need to invest in a few new tools to help you style your new do and if you have never had short hair before, it will take some time to understand how to style it. But, don’t worry, you’ll get used to it!

You Actually Have to Get Haircuts

You can go months without cutting your long locks without anyone noticing (well your hairstylist will, yikes!). But when it comes to short hair, you actually need to maintain the haircut. That means every 4-6 weeks, which shouldn’t be a problem to anyone who gets color.

Product is a Must

Short hair needs product! From a lob to a pixie, you’ll definitely need a little spray, clay and Palmade to make your styles work. But not to worry, where you spend on new products, you’ll save on shampoo and conditioner 😉

It Will Take Some Getting Used Too.

Not going to lie, when I cut my hair to my chin from my waist, some tears were shed. But, the next day I realized how much I loved my new do! It’s fun, edgy and exactly what you need for a revamp of your look.
